Maine, the way life should be...

The University of Maine is located in picturesque Orono, Maine. Our beautiful northern New England state provides four seasons to enjoy activities year-round in the sun or the snow! For more specific information about the Bangor region and surrounding communities, look here.

You will find the faculty and staff of our department cares about you and your education. If you are new to the area and are looking for information or resources, look here. For other valuable information (like things to do, places to eat, etc.), look here.

The UMaine web site provides information on local banks and credit unions, health and medical options, automobile insurance and licenses, child care, and local places of interest.

Are you thinking about living on campus? Take a look at UMaine Campus Living, which explores the various housing options, available dining services, and the campus video channel. You can also preview the UMaine orientation events online.

Are you wondering what's going on in our neck of the woods? There are several good local news sources available to you. Check out the online sites for our local newspaper and local TV stations - WABI, WLBZ, and PBS.
