24th Annual Edward T. Bryand Recognition Banquet
Two awards were presented to Department of Physics & Astronomy staff at the College of Engineering's 24th annual Edward T. Bryand Recognition Banquet held at the Penobscot Valley Country Club on October 3, 2003. Vincente E. Guiseppe and Andrea M. Brownstein were the award recipients.
Vince received the Graduate Assistant Teaching Award recognizing his outstanding ability and dedication he brings to his teaching of PHY 121/122. Students appreciate his knowledge, teaching style, and the extra time he is willing to spend helping them understand physics and developing their problem solving skills.
Andrea received the Leila C. Lowell Award in recognition of her many years of outstanding service to the Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Engineering Physics program. Her teaching of technical writing skills to sophomore and junior students in PHY 229/230 and PHY 441/442 are highly valued by students, alumni, employers and ABET program accreditors.
