On May 7th, 2003 at 3:10 p.m. in Room 140 Bennett, the Department of Physics and Astronomy held its annual Awards Ceremony. At this time, announcements were made of Departmental scholarships, there was a Sigma Pi Sigma Induction Ceremony for new members, and winners were drawn for the Annual Department Lottery. All undergraduate and graduate Physics students, Physics faculty, staff, families, and friends were invited to attend. Considering it was Maine Day at UMaine, there was quite a good turnout.
