People - Undergraduate Students - 2002 Awards Ceremony
On May 8th, 2002 at 3:10 p.m. in Room 140 Bennett, the Department of Physics and Astronomy held its annual Awards Ceremony. At this time, announcements were made of Departmental scholarships, there was a Sigma Pi Sigma Induction Ceremony for new members, and winners were drawn for the Annual Department Lottery. All undergraduate and graduate Physics students, Physics faculty, staff, families, and friends were invited to attend. Considering it was Maine Day at UMaine, there was quite a good turnout.
The students listed below were at the Awards Ceremony to receive their awards in person.
Francis J. Hovey Award: Joel Ngue Mba (Sr.)

The Annual Department Lottery is held as an incentive lottery for all of the students in the department who return advisor evaluations. Dr. Susan McKay and Patricia Byard awarded prizes to the following people:
